Oak Park Concert Chorale Celebrates Spring
2010 Spring Concert series featuring modern and classic choral works.
March 27th, 2010 in the Press ReleaseWHAT: Oak Park Concert Chorale presents it’s 2010 Spring Concert Series Cantate! The centerpiece of the concert will be the Motet for the Time of Easter by composer Richard Hillert. The unique work piece for harp and choir uses modern harmonies and is based on the ancient Gregorian chant Christ Lag in Todesbanden.
The concert also features Cantate Domino by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, selections from the Cantata Profana by contemporary Danish composer Vagn Holmboe in addition to works by Maurice Durufle, Anton Bruckner, Thomas Weelkes and Felix Mendelssohn-Bartoldy.
