The Oak Park Concert Chorale, Paul Lindblad, Director, Commemorates

The Oak Park Concert Chorale (OPCC), led by director Paul Lindblad, will host a celebration gala to commerate their 25th Anniversary Season on Friday, October 14, 2005 at 7:30 pm, at The Carleton of Oak Park, 1110 Pleasant Street, Oak Park, IL. The catering will be provided by Philander’s Restaurant. Tickets are $60 each. Sponsorship packages are available.

The anniversary banquet will feature a performance by The Chorale as well as additional entertainment. There will also be a silent auction during the gala, guests will be able to bid on exceptional items provided by area businesses and organizations. The silent auction will serve as a fundraiser to help support The Chorale as they continue with their mission to “present choral performances, foster the appreciation of and the desire for classical music, promote cultural enrichment, and support efforts in the broad field of music education.”

OPCC remains dedicated to performing exciting and innovative music. The Oak Park Concert Chorale will be commissioning several new Christmas carols from area composers. These new works will be featured at our annual Christmas concert, A Tapestry of Carols, on Sunday November 20, 2005. In Spring of 2006, members of The Chorale will reunite with alumni members to celebrate this joyous occasion and perform spectacular music by significant composers from our past. For our 25th Anniversary Concert, to be held on Saturday, April 22, 2006. OPCC intends to present George Frideric Handel’s Utrecht Jubilate which will be accompanied by a festival Baroque orchestra.
